Scrobbler for iOS App Reviews

Only tracks music from my iPhone and not songs i listen to on spotify or pandora smh!!!

The other day the app logged me out and will not let me back in. Last.fm works normally on the Internet, but this app is now worthless.

Well, Ill give it a star for doing the job I trusted this app to do... Scrobbling the tracks I listen to. The reason I give this app such a low score, however, is due to many reasons: 1.) A much needed UI redesign. This UI isnt exactly dysfunctional (maybe?), but it just looks, and feels, outdated. Im sure the UI can be made much better and more intuitive than how it currently is. 2.) Scrobbling may do its job, but there are some problems for when the app does recognize a track had been scrobbled. Firstly, it can take up to an entire minute for the app to recognize that a track finished playing and register a scrobble, and this is no internet issue. I expect for the app to scrobble my tracks a lot faster than that. From what Ive heard, Many users are even claiming that tracks wont scrobble for them "at all." I have even been a victim of tracks failing to scrobble on occasions. This app needs to scrobble more consistently. Secondly, when a track does get scrobbled, the message at the top of the screen saying that a track had been scrobbled causes the app to be unusable until the message disappears. If you open the app again after Scrobbling many tracks, try tapping and scrolling around the app, and you will notice that nothing will work, but when the messages disappear, it functions. Maybe it is actually a UI flaw, or maybe not. Regardless, it should be fixed. It gets in the way of fluidity. 3.) The red "On Tour" button in front of the album artwork for a song you are listening to is completely broken. Not only is it intruded by a banner Ad that shows up right over the red button, tapping on this button leads you to a blank screen, and this happens for every one Ive tried. When tapping out of the window, you get a slight glimpse of an image of the artist you were listening to, but no information along with it. And a lot of the artists that the app tells me are "On Tour" really arent. This is an inexcusable series of flaws I really do hope are fixed soon. 4.) This one might actually be a UI flaw due to the fact that I dont think the app has been supported for larger iPhone screen sizes, but album artwork is not in the correct resolution size. Im of course talking about when you are viewing this in the screen for playing a song, where you get the track time and "On Tour" button and such. Its a small issue, but it makes the app look more unattractive, and it should be a relatively easy fix. 5.) There should be more than just one way to use the "love" feature for a track. When browsing the website and viewing your list of scrobbled tracks, you are introduced with a heart icon next to those tracks. There should be a similar functionality for this on the app as well. I dont want to have to keep hitting the play button on a track in order to see the heart icon (since this is the only possible way to "love" a track in the app). Instead, I want to have the heart icons appear conveniently in my list of scrobbled tracks so I dont have to waste so much time finding the track, playing it, then hitting the "love" button. 6.) The final issue I have for this app is when it tells me the incorrect amount of scrobbles I have for a certain artist. Going into the "Artists" section of the app in the sidebar, it gives you a note under the name of an artist for how many scrobbles you have for that particular artist. Most, if not all, of the time, it is wrong. This is also apparent when viewing how many scrobbles you have for a certain album in the album information page, where it lists the tracks and how many total scrobbles there are for all listeners of that album. Both artists and albums show incorrect amounts of scrobbles for me. I definitely want to see this fixed. As though Ive seen that you all havent updated this app in about 2 years, I havent lost all hope. If you do ever get around to updating this app, I would very much appreciate you all at least considering these many suggestions for fixes and features that Ive listed. Thank you!

I dont know what happened, but Last.fm apparently forgot about their app. It hasnt gotten an update in some time; however, it still works for the most part.

its very frustrating to me that there hasnt been an update to this app since 14. I absolutely love last.fm for exactly what it does, tracking what I listen to, & this app is so out of date & Ecoute, the only other app ive found so far with claimed last.fm support, doesnt actually scrobble for me it seems, so i dont know what to do to keep up with my profile/scrobbles. I wish theyd update this app so badly!

Very outdated.

This thing seriously needs an update. It doesnt even really work anymore unless you play all your music from the app itself, which wouldnt be a huge issue if it didnt look and act like an app designed for iOS 6.

The app is beautiful and pretty cool, but cmon guys, update yourselves and allow us to use also Spotify. Changing my rate its up to this renovation. Think about it!

If there was an option for zero stars, I would have given it zero stars, Heck give us an option for a 1/2 star! Cant login!!!

Downloaded to scrobble but it couldnt even do that. Stopped after first song and so I immediately uninstalled.

Knock it off with complaints about this poorly done app and download Tuneshell, it have minor ads but their scrobbler plugin works perfect!

I couldnt even get past the sign in/create an account page. It didnt even give me a reason why I couldnt use the user name and info I was trying to sign up with i.e. capital letter/number combination. Just TERRIBLE

Its horriblly incompatible with iOS 10.

This app wont even let me make an account. It says "Failed to sign up, please check the form and try again (Invalid method-- no method with that name in this package)". Probably just a bug or malfunction but it needs to be fixed. Very frustrating for people and Im probably not going to try using your app again after this. I would give 0 stars if I could because I have nothing to rate!

Last.fm is a great site for playlists and concerts and whatever but when Im on my phone I just want to scrobble my music and it cant do that! I turn the Scrobbler on, it turns itself off randomly. Ridiculous that it cant even live up to its name.

Update or remove from the AppStore!

freezes constantly, randomly does not scrobble songs, design is outdated, clunky, too many ads, ugly, overall bad. none of the features work for me, i cannot view my account or my top artists or my recommended or anything else.

When is this piece of s* app going to be updated?

I cant even login with my lastFM username/password which works on my MacBook Pro! When I downloaded and installed it, then started it, I was informed that "the developer needs to update this app as it will slow down your iPad" I then look at the version in the App Store and find that yeah, its been 3 years since the last update was released. Come on Last FM either pull this from the App Store or cross license this to another app! Why am I paying $2.99 for stripped down functionality? You need to get with the time here!!!
